We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Audio Visual Technician (AV Tech) to join our team. As an AV Tech, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless setup, operation, and maintenance of audio-visual equipment to support various events and presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Setup and Operation: Set up and operate audio-visual equipment, including projectors, sound systems, microphones, video screens, lighting, and other AV components for events, meetings, and presentations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to event organizers, presenters, and participants to ensure a smooth and trouble-free AV experience.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues and malfunctions with AV equipment promptly during events.
  • Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of AV equipment, track usage, and assist in procurement of new equipment as needed.
  • Cable Management: Properly manage and organize cables and connections to prevent tripping hazards and maintain a neat and professional appearance.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all audio-visual setups meet quality standards and adhere to industry best practices.
  • Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients and event organizers to understand their AV requirements and provide technical guidance.
  • Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
  • Documentation: Maintain records of equipment inventory, service history, and technical specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting a wide range of audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to projectors, audio systems, video conferencing equipment, and lighting.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 of experience in the audio-visual field, with a proven track record of successful event support.
  • Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate setup and precise execution of AV requirements.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and event participants.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing event requirements and handle unexpected technical issues.
  • Team Player: Collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift, carry, and transport heavy AV equipment and work in physically demanding conditions as needed.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., CTS, AVIXA, etc.) are a plus.
